PROFILES

Photo: Man smiling Jeff: Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic
I went straight from high school to an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) school. The school was tough, but the training helped prepare me for the A&P licensing exams. Now, I get to do what I love everyday — work on airplanes.

In high school, I took the ASVAB and scored high on the Electronics Information section. I wasn't interested in college or enlisting in the Military, so my counselor suggested an apprenticeship program offered through a local union. I received both classroom and on-the-job training and am now a licensed electrician.
